The Latin American Solidarity Network (LASNET)
In Australia, Asia, and the Pacific, the Latin American Solidarity Network (LASNET) aims to raise awareness of the struggles of the Latin American people and to work in support of these initiatives through local and national activism.
We also would like to share the Latin American struggles and achievements as a way of providing hope to those of us struggling in Australia, Asia, and the Pacific against greed, increasing authoritarianism, colonialism, patriarchy, repression, and exploitation of our communities and our planet.

Firstly, we want to thank all of you for supporting the Latin American people through the Latin American Solidarity Network (LASNET) during the present year.
To make reality and practice some of our main aims of building bridges and Solidarity between Latin America, Australia, and the Asia Pacific through organising globally and defending our peoples’ rights.
Through unity, mutual solidarity, honesty, and truth, we can create spaces for mutual collaboration and more opportunities to work together, supporting our communities and grassroots organizations in Australia, the Asia Pacific, and Latin America in any way possible.
We built our ideas of solidarity between people in resistance and struggles. Always work collectively to achieve our aims, commitments, and projects with our people.
We organise our annual meetings and get together where new people get involved and put forward their fresh inputs, ideas, and proposals…so your input will be valuable and welcome.
If you want to get involved, contribute, put forward your ideas, and play a key role in building bridges and organising globally, join our 2025 Open meeting next December 13th (a morning Zoom (10am-12noon and face-to-face arvo meeting, 3:00pm).
During the discussion, we would like to answer some questions, such as why it is necessary to have solidarity with our people and what we mean by solidarity. Why is it so essential to build bridges between our people? In which way can we improve our solidarity actions and activism?
We hope that those interested in justice, democracy from below, and Building a new and Better Society would be interested in supporting the Grassroots Struggles and resistances in Latin America.
The majority of countries in the continent continue to be dominated by global neoliberal capitalist Elites. The criminalisation of movements is the normality in these countries. Latin America and its peoples have suffered centuries of colonialism, poverty, and the plunder of resources and wealth by the developed world.
A myriad of popular and indigenous organizations from below are standing for their rights and fighting to end inequality, injustices, new ways of popular democracy for their culture, food sovereignty, and the historical struggles and grievances on the voracity of multinational corporations over our people.
Now is the moment to get involved and contribute to the struggles of our people. You are most than welcome…
