The Latin American Solidarity Network (LASNET)

In Australia, Asia, and the Pacific, the Latin American Solidarity Network (LASNET) aims to raise awareness of the struggles of the grassroots movements and indigenous peoples and to work supporting their initiatives through local and national activism.

We cannot wait to share with you the Latin American struggles and achievements as a way of providing hope to those of us campaigning in Australia, Asia, and the Pacific against greed, increasing authoritarianism, colonialism, patriarchy, repression, and exploitation of our communities and the devastation of our planet.

We also would like to take this opportunity to thank you, together with those communities that are actively protecting their land and our mother earth, for all your support to our campaigns and activities in the last years, months and days.

To achieve our aims, commitments, and projects with those in struggle and resistance, we build our ideas of solidarity with people in a collective way, as we organise our annual open meetings and get together where new people get involved and put forward their fresh inputs, ideas, and proposals…so your inputs are valuable and very important.

If you want to get involved, contribute, put forward your ideas, and play a key role in building bridges and organising globally, join our 2023 Open meeting next Saturday November 18 (a morning Zoom and face-to-face arvo meeting).

During the discussion, we would like to answer some questions, such as why it is necessary to have solidarity with our people and what we mean by solidarity. Why is it so essential to build bridges between our people? In which way can we improve our solidarity actions and activism?

We hope that those interested in Justice, Democracy from below, and building a new and better society would be interested in supporting the grassroots struggles and resistances in Latin America and how can we contribute to build international bridges as currently is the case in the struggle to end the invasion over Palestinian lands.

Now is the moment to get involved and contribute to the struggles of our people.

You are more than welcome…
